When editing photos I think the number 1 problem I have is getting that skin texture back after doing a bunch of adjustments to faces. Really there is only a couple ways around it: bringing back the old photo to get back the organic textures or recreating the textures using filters or resources.
Now you can create realistic human skin face textures for anything. Like this Kenyan inspired face texture you too can create realistic looking faces from complete scratch only using the pen tool and these brushes. You can also use them for touching up photos that might have gotten a bit flat after editing.
My main tip is keep the opacity light and work in circular strokes and follow a lighting guide from another photo or the original so you know where your head's lighting, bone structure is etc (that is key to creating realism).
